Yesterday most of my picks were proven correct with Jonas Valanciunas coming through with 30 fantasy points, Ricky Rubio having 29 fantasy points, and Dirk Nowitzki having 32. There are plenty of good games on the slate for MLK day, which are headlined by the Warriors vs. Cavaliers game. The last game between the two saw Kyrie Irving sink a buzzer beater to give Cleveland the victory. Keep in mind the prices are for Yahoo daily fantasy.
Point Guard: $48 John Wall- This game should be close, so that means more time on the court for Wall. The league leader in steals also has value because of his passing ability. That passing ability allows him to rack up double-digits in assists on a nightly basis. Expect a floor of 30 points with a ceiling of 57 points. Kyrie Irving is another strong option here given how he dismantled the Warriors the last time the two teams faced off against each other.
Shooting Guard: $13 Tim Hardaway Jr.- In order to stomach the price for Wall, Hardaway is here as a value pick. He has been playing pretty well lately and should see plenty of court time without Kyle Korver in Atlanta. Hardaway has a floor of 15 with a ceiling of 35 points.
Guard: $19 Elfrid Payton- He had a breakout game a night ago, and while asking for the same is a stretch, Payton should still give you quality production. A good matchup with Denver makes him even more appealing. He has a floor of 20 points, but has a ceiling of 45 points for tonight.
Small Forward: $15 Tyreke Evans- A true definition of a point-forward, Evans gives you points from rebounds and assists. This is another cost-saving selection. Expect something between 20 and 35 points.
Power Forward: $18 Markieff Morris- As I said earlier in the article, this should be a close game which means more minutes for Morris. Expect a floor of 15 with a ceiling of 35 points.
Forward: $33 Gordan Hayward- Given the up-tempo style of the Suns, Hayward should have an opportunity to toss up a bunch of shots. Hayward has a floor of 35 with a ceiling of 60 points.
Center: $27 Rudy Gobert- As I said before, there should be plenty of shots in this game. That means Gobert has a chance to have a 20-20 game. He has a floor of 25 with a ceiling of 50 points.
Utility: $27 DeAndre Jordan- He is just playing way too well lately to not put him in this lineup. If you want to you can get a cheaper option here and get a better option at power forward. Jordan has a floor of 25 points, and has a ceiling of 55.
