It has been a while since I have put out a daily fantasy basketball article so hopefully my picks will continue to prove accurate. Yesterday saw Lou Williams, Russell Westbrook, Nikola Mirotic, and Rajon Rondo as the stars of the early slate, with Anthony Davis and Myles Turner as the stars of the later slate. Tonight features a decent 6 game slate which means it will be important to find solid value plays.
$9,100 Kyrie Irving- This will be an exciting game between one of the best from the East and one of the best from the West. Kawhi Leonard should be able to deter LeBron James which will leave Kyrie to lead the Cavaliers. Russell Westbrook is a fade option for tonight due to the fact that he has struggled against the Dallas Mavericks this year.
$7,100 Elfrid Payton- The Toronto Raptors haven’t been great at defending the point this year, which means Payton could be in for a good game. He has been on fire as of late and a triple double is not out of the equation for tonight. George Hill could also have a good game in a plus matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans.
$9,200 DeMar DeRozan- His production has been excellent recently due to the absence of Kyle Lowry. As long as the game is close, DeRozan will have the opportunity to score 40+ points and throw in a few other peripheral stats as well.
$4,200 Terrence Ross- This will be a revenge game for Ross after being traded to Orlando for Serge Ibaka (who will also be featured in this article). Revenge games tend to boost players’ stats a bit, which means Ross should be in for around 30 fantasy points. Another solid option here is Mindaugas Kuzminkas if Carmelo Anthony does not suit up.
$5,700 Serge Ibaka- As I said in the aforementioned paragraph, Ibaka draws a revenge matchup with the Magic. Even without the fact that this is a revenge game, Ibaka is a solid play due to his performance as of late, meaning 6x value should be in store.
$7,300 LaMarcus Aldridge- Markieff Morris enjoyed a very good game against Kevin Love which means Aldridge should have an even better one. Aldridge has an excellent mid-range jumper, and his double-double capabilities give him a very nice floor. His ceiling isn’t very high, but 5x value is excellent at this price point.
$7,600 Andre Drummond- With center being a fairly deep position, Drummond should be able to fly under the radar. In his last meeting with the Knicks, Drummond was good for 48 points. If he is able to repeat that performance he will make for a very strong contrarian play. Willy Hernangomez will be a candidate for a 40 fantasy point performance if Carmelo Anthony sits out.
