Pitcher: $8,000 Tyler Chatwood- As I said in my article yesterday, any pitcher facing the abysmal Pittsburgh Pirates is worth a look. Ever since early injuries to key players, the Pirates have struggled to put runs on the board at times. Some people may be hesitant to start Chatwood as he owns a 4.37 ERA, but most of those runs are due to him playing his home games at Coors Field. He is a relatively safe pick with some upside as well.

Catcher: $3,300 Jason Castro- While he isn’t always a solid play, he is when the matchup presents itself. Castro will face Christian Bergman in what will be an excellent matchup for the entire Twins lineup; making them a strong stack candidate. Given the paucity of options at the catcher position, Castro stands out as one with both stability and upside.

First Base: $3,400 Joe Mauer- In the aforementioned I stated that the Minnesota Twins are a potential stack candidate, and that applies to Mauer.  Albeit the fact that he is only a shell of his former self, Mauer should still be able to carve together a solid game at the plate. He is a very safe play with some potential as well.

Second Base: $2,600 Chase Utley- This price is way too low for the kind of value that Utley offers. He does most of his damage against righties, making it a good thing that he will face a subpar one in Trevor Bauer.

Third Base: $3,100 Eugenio Suarez- Because of their matchup with Clayton Richard, the Cincinnati Reds are a very solid stack candidate. Suarez has enjoyed a strong season so far and that should continue against Richard. He has plenty of upside and is an excellent pick at this cheap of a price.

Shortstop: $3,600 Zach Cozart- Cozart, another player on the Cincinnati Reds, should benefit from their matchup with Clayton Richard. Cozart put together an amazing month of May and that success should carry over for tonight. There aren’t that many great options at the shortstop position, making picking Cozart an easier decision.

Outfield: $3,400 Adam Duvall- Yet another player on the Cincinnati Reds, Duvall should be able to have a big game in an excellent matchup. There is a perpetual risk that comes with Duvall thanks to his tendency to strike out, but not enough to deter you from starting him.

Outfield: $3,900 Corey Dickerson- Dickerson has put together an excellent start to the season, and his excellent play should continue for the foreseeable future. He absolutely obliterates righties, meaning he could be in for a big game as he draws a matchup with Marco Estrada. Dickerson has a very high floor as well as a high ceiling.

Outfield: $3,700 Nomar Mazara- Mazara does nearly all of his damage against righties, making it a good thing that he will face one in Brad Peacock. He doesn’t have that sturdy of a floor, but his ceiling is as high as any.
