Pitcher: $8,500 Danny Duffy- The Texas Rangers perform far better against right handed pitchers, making the left handed Duffy a sneaky pick. He won’t be that highly owned, meaning he will be a nice contrarian play. He has a tendency to accrue strikeouts, which gives him plenty of big game potential. Duffy has a relatively high floor as well as a lofty ceiling.

Catcher: $2,900 Yasmani Grandal- Seeing as how Grandal fares much better against righties, he could be in for a big game against Jose Urena. Urena has struggled at times this year, which makes the Los Angeles Dodgers a potential stack candidate. Given the paucity of options at the catcher position, Grandal stands out as one with plenty of upside.

First Base: $3,200 Danny Valencia- Valencia does most of his damage against left handed pitchers; making it a good thing that he is set to face one in Derek Holland. Holland has been far from dominant this year, meaning the Mariners should be able to put up a good amount of runs on him. Because of the aforementioned reason, you will want some exposure to the Mariners: something that Valencia gives you.

Second Base: $2,700 Chase Utley- The second Dodger featured in this article, Utley can provide solid production at a very cheap price. He does most of his damage against righties, making it a good thing that he will face a subpar one in Asher Wojciechowski.

Third Base: $3,700 Jake Lamb- Lamb has enjoyed an excellent start to the season, and his success hasn’t waned in the past few weeks. While he does carry some risk due to his tendency to strike out, Lamb’s immense power more than makes up for it. There is a very high chance that he ends up giving you a zero in the scoring column, but there is a chance that he realizes some of his home run potential and turns in a big game.

Shortstop: $3,500 Francisco Lindor- Lindor didn’t have the best first half of the season, and he will look to turn that around in the second half. He has showcased his power so far this year, but at a detriment to his contact as he is hitting below .250. A big game could be in the works for Lindor as he draws an excellent matchup with Paul Blackburn.

Outfield: $2,300 Guillermo Heredia- This is yet another pick that carries a good deal of risk. Nevertheless, the matchup here is too good to pass up on. Heredia hasn’t been the most consistent of players, but he has shown the ability to put together big games: something that is very important in daily fantasy baseball. This is a very strong value play seeing as how he comes at a very cheap price.

Outfield: $3,600 Joc Pederson- The third and final Los Angeles Dodger featured in this article, Pederson has a chance to be the highest scorer. Even though Pederson may have the most potential, he carries a perpetual risk due to his tendency to strike out. Nevertheless, Pederson has as much home run potential as anyone else, an ability that is valued highly.

Outfield: $4,300 Nelson Cruz- Cruz enjoyed a good deal of success in the first half of the season and should be able to find some more against the left handed Derek Holland. Cruz has a very high chance at being the days best player.
