Pitcher: $8,900 Lance McCullers- McCullers has struggled in his last few outings, but he will look to turn things around tonight. He has plenty of strikeout potential, and will draw a matchup with team that has a tendency to whiff. The Baltimore Orioles fare much better against lefties, making it a positive matchup for the right handed McCullers.
Catcher: $2,700 Brian McCann- McCann has been a stalwart in these articles anytime that he is facing a righty. Given the paucity of options at the catcher position, McCann stands out as a rare strong option. His home run potential allows for him to have a big game on any given night.
First Base: $3,500 Logan Morrison- He has been destroying righties this year and he should be able to continue that trend against Tyson Ross. Ross has looked anything but ace-like this year so this is a matchup that I would like to target.
Second Base: $3,000 Scooter Gennett- While expecting a performance similar to his four home run game is wishful thinking, Gennett should still be able to turn in a solid game. His price is way too low for you to ignore, especially for someone who put together a historic game earlier this year. He obliterates righties and should be able to do just that against Luis Perdomo.
Third Base: $2,400 Derek Dietrich- This is a bit risky of a play, but the potential is there for Dietrich to have a big game. He is a completely different ballplayer when he faces a right handed pitcher, and he will face a subpar one in Sal Romano. It also doesn’t hurt that Dietrich comes with a $2,400 price tag.
Shortstop: $3,500 Francisco Lindor- Lindor didn’t have the best first half of the season, and he will look to turn that around in the second half. He has showcased his power so far this year, but at a detriment to his contact as his batting average is subpar. A big game could be in the works for Lindor as he draws an excellent matchup with J.A. Happ.
Outfield: $3,500 Michael Conforto- Finally getting a chance to show his talent, Conforto has been one of the biggest surprises in the MLB. He has been obliterating righties to the tune of fifteen home runs as well as a .303 batting average and should continue that against Daniel Gossett.
Outfield: $4,600 Andrew McCutchen- Albeit the fact that Andrew McCutchen isn’t the player he once was, he should still be able to carve together a solid day at the plate. He does most of his damage against lefties and will face a subpar one in Kyle Freeland. The Pittsburgh Pirates are a potential stack candidate seeing as how they will be playing in the the this air of Coors Field.
Outfield: $2,900 Josh Reddick- Reddick does most of his damage against righties so it is a good thing that he is matched up with one in Dylan Bundy. Someone who always has big game potential, Reddick should be in for a great night. Reddick’s price is way too low not to start him.
