Pitcher: $7,600 C.C. Sabathia- Starting Sabathia is always a risky decision, but when the matchup is right, he is capable of turning in a solid outing. The Tampa Bay Rays fare much better against righties, meaning the left handed Sabathia will have the opportunity to dominate. His low price point also gives you more flexibility with the rest of your lineup.

Catcher: $2,100 Hector Sanchez- You will be hard pressed to find a catcher with as much power upside as Sanchez. He has enjoyed a good amount of success in the past few weeks, and that should continue against Chris Flexen. Because of their matchup with Flexen, the San Diego Padres are a potential stack candidate.

First Base: $4,300 Anthony Rizzo- Rizzo got off to a dreadful start to the season, but he has since turned things around. His price tag is a bit steep, but he is worth it due to the paucity of options for tonights slate. He has a relatively high floor as well as a high ceiling.

Second Base: $3,500 Dee Gordon- Gordon’s speed and base running abilities always gives him a high ceiling. As long as he is able to get on base, starting him will end up paying dividends. The dearth of strong options at second base only makes him a more enticing pick.

Third Base: $3,900 Jake Lamb- Lamb is always worth consideration anytime he is facing a righty. Luckily he will face an inexperienced one in Luke Weaver. There is a perpetual risk that comes with starting Lamb due to his propensity to strike out, but his immense power makes up for that risk.

Shortstop: $3,100 Didi Gregorius- Albeit the fact that he draws a matchup with a stud pitcher, Gregorius should be able to carve together a strong day at the plate. He has been on a torrid hot streak for the past few games, and he should continue that tonight.

Outfield: $3,300 Yoenis Cespedes- Cespedes was injured for a good part of the season, and it looks as if the injury hasn’t hindered him that much. He has as much potential as any hitter on the slate, and he will have the chance to realize some of that potential against Luis Perdomo. Because of their excellent matchup with Luis Perdomo, the New York Mets are a stack candidate.

Outfield: $3,700 Michael Conforto- As I said in the aforementioned paragraph, the New York Mets draw an excellent matchup with Luis Perdomo. Conforto has been on a bit of a cold stretch, but he will have the perfect opportunity to break out of his funk. He offers a fair amount of upside and is a relatively safe pick as well.

Outfield: $3,400 Adam Duvall- Another player on the Cincinnati Reds, Duvall should be able to have a big game in an excellent matchup. There is always risk that comes with Duvall since he is prone to striking out, but not enough to deter you from starting him.
