Pitcher: $9,400 Aaron Nola- He has proved that he has the tools to be an ace down the road, but for now, Nola will look to turn in a strong performance against the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels have struggled to put together runs at times this year, and Nola will look to take advantage of that. He does carry some risk due to his lack of experience, but the sky’s the limit when it comes to Nola.
Catcher: $2,900 Yasmani Grandal- Grandal is a strong play anytime that he is facing a right handed pitcher. Thankfully he will face a vastly inexperienced one in Lucas Sims. That is a matchup that Grandal should be able to do some damage in. The lack of strong options at the catcher position only makes starting Grandal an easier decision.
First Base: $3,700 Ryan Zimmerman- Zimmerman has since slowed down after his other worldly month of April. Nevertheless, he has a propensity to turn in big games when he faces subpar lefties. He was able to do just that two nights ago against Kyle Freeland when he hit two home runs, and he draws an even better matchup tonight. Because of their excellent matchup with Chris O’Grady, the Washington Nationals are a potential stack candidate.
Second Base: $3,200 Rougned Odor- Odor hasn’t had the best of starts to the year, but he has gone on a few hot streaks. Luckily he is on one of those hot streaks right now. Most of his value rests in his ability to hit home runs, and he should have a good chance to do just that against Erasmo Ramirez. The Texas Rangers’ matchup with Erasmo Ramirez is one that you will want to target.
Third Base: $3,600 Anthony Rendon- As I said earlier, the Nationals will stand to benefit in their matchup with Chris O’Grady. Rendon fares much better against , meaning a big game could be in the works. With the way the Nationals offense has been clicking recently, you will want to have as much exposure to them as possible. Nolan Arenado is also a strong play here if you can afford him.
Shortstop: $2,500 Addison Russell- Russell hasn’t had the best of seasons, but he can still produce against lefties. Patrick Corbin has had a tumultuous season, and his outing tonight should be cut short if the Chicago Cubs have anything to say about it. Because of the aforementioned reason, you will want to have at least one player from the Cubs in your lineup.
Outfield: $3,200 Joc Pederson- Pairing Pederson with Grandal will give you a nice Dodgers mini stack.. Even though Pederson will have the chance to have a big game, he carries a perpetual risk due to his tendency to strike out. Nevertheless, Pederson has as much home run potential as anyone else, an ability that is valued highly.
Outfield: $3,300 Nomar Mazara- Mazara, who absolutely obliterates righties, draws a matchup with the right handed Erasmo Ramirez. Porcello shouldn’t be able to deter Mazara from having a big game. It also doesn’t hurt that his price is way too low for the type of production he can offer.
Outfield: $3,100 Corey Dickerson- Dickerson has put together a breakout campaign, and his strong play should continue for the foreseeable future. He absolutely obliterates righties, meaning he could be in for a big game as he draws a matchup with Mike Fiers. Dickerson has a very high floor as well as a high ceiling. He just put together a two home run game last night, and more of the same should be on the way.
