Pitcher: $9,600 Zack Greinke- Greinke has pitched well in what has been a very strong campaign. He should find more success tonight against a San Francisco 49ers team that has struggled mightily this year. Greinke has a tendency to strike batters out, which means he has plenty of big game potential. He is a relatively safe pick with a lofty ceiling as well.
Catcher: $3,100 Alex Avila- Anytime that Avila is facing a right handed pitcher he is a solid play. He has had a mini resurgence this year and his success should continue against Jerad Eichkoff. Given the dearth of options at the catcher position, having a solid option such as Avila is very important.
First Base: $2,500 Tommy Joseph- Joseph does most of his damage against southpaws, which makes him a strong play for tonight. His ownership should be down with a vast array of other options, making this a very good pick.
Second Base: $3,400 Rougned Odor- The inexperienced Kendall Graveman poses no threat to Odor who obliterates righties like Graveman. There is some risk involved, but not enough to deter you from starting Odor.
Third Base: $3,300 Jedd Gyorko- Albeit that he is a righty himself, Gyorko performs much better against right handed pitchers. He has enjoyed a good deal of success this year, and that should continue against Jake Odorizzi. Gyorko carries some risk, but his massive upside makes up for nearly all of that risk.
Shortstop: $3,700 Francisco Lindor- Lindor didn’t have the best first half of the season, but he has turned things around in the second half. He has showcased his power so far this year, but at a detriment to his contact as his batting average is subpar. A big game could be in the works for Lindor as he draws an excellent matchup with Ryan Merritt.
Outfield: $3,100 Corey Dickerson- Dickerson is a stalwart in these articles anytime he is facing a right handed pitcher. This is looking like a breakout year for him, and his excellent play should continue against Michael Wacha. He is a very safe play, but he also has a good deal of potential.
Outfield: $2,800 Matt Adams- Him making the move to Atlanta has benefited him greatly. Adams absolutely obliterates righties, making it a good thing that he is set to face one in Chad Bettis. This is a great value pick as Adams offers an abundance potential for a great price.
Outfield: $3,400 Shin-Soo Choo- Choo should make the most of his matchup with Kendall Graveman. He hasn’t experienced the greatest season, but it looks like he is making a turn in the right direction.
