Pitcher: $8,600 Tanner Roark- Roark has seen a tumultuous start to the season and will look to straighten things out against the Philadelphia Phillies. Philadelphia’s offense has been stifled by many a pitcher this year, and Roark could add his name to that list. Roark has put together a couple of excellent performances on the bump this year, so if that version of Roark is present, he should be able to provide you with plenty of value at a low price.
Catcher: $3,200 Yasmani Grandal- Grandal has been one of the top hitting catchers in the MLB this year. Seeing as there is a paucity of solid options at the catcher position, anytime that Grandal is facing a righty he is worth a look. There isn’t much risk involved and there is plenty of home run potential; making Grandal an excellent pick. His matchup with Jonathan Gray only makes him a more enticing play.
First Base: $3,500 Eric Hosmer- Hosmer tends to fare much better against right handed pitchers and he is set to face one tonight in Kyle Gibson. Gibson has struggled mightily this year, meaning Moustakas should be able to carve together a strong game at the plate.
Second Base: $3,600 Scooter Gennett- Gennett erupted for a monster four home run game earlier this year, showing his abundance of upside. While you shouldn’t expect the same performance today, he should still be able to turn in a strong game. He obliterates righties and will face one in Matt Harvey.
Third Base: $3,800 Eugenio Suarez- Because of their matchup with Matt Harvey, the Cincinnati Reds are a very solid stack candidate. Suarez has enjoyed a strong season so far and that should continue against Harvey. He has plenty of upside and is an excellent pick at this cheap of a price.
Shortstop: $3,100 Zach Cozart- Cozart, another player on the Cincinnati Reds, should benefit from their matchup with Matt Harvey. Cozart has put together a strong season to date, and that success should carry over for tonight. There aren’t that many great options at the shortstop position, making picking Cozart an easier decision.
Outfield: $2,800 Joc Pederson- Pairing Pederson with Grandal will give you a nice Dodgers mini stack.. Even though Pederson will have the chance to have a big game, he carries a perpetual risk due to his tendency to strike out. Nevertheless, Pederson has as much home run potential as anyone else, an ability that is valued highly.
Outfield: $2,900 Andrew McCutchen- Albeit the fact that Andrew McCutchen isn’t the player he once was, he should still be able to carve together a solid day at the plate. He is an enticing play thanks to his matchup with Jon Lester.
Outfield: $3,200 Ender Inciarte- Inciarte is mainly here to offset some of the risk that comes with starting players such as Pederson, Gennett, and Grandal. Nevertheless, Inciarte has enjoyed an excellent start to what has been a breakout campaign. He should continue to roll against the right handed Dan Straily.
