Pitcher: $8,300 Aaron Nola- He has proved that he has the tools to be an ace down the road, but for now, Nola will look to turn in a strong performance against the Miami Marlins. The Marlins have struggled to put together runs at times this year, and Nola will look to take advantage of that. He does carry some risk due to his lack of experience, but the sky is the limit when it comes to Nola.

Catcher: $2,300 Evan Gattis- I tend to feature his fellow teammate Brian McCann in these articles, but seeing as the Astros are facing a lefty, Gattis is the better play. He carries some risk given his tendency to strike out, but his power gives him plenty of upside. Given the dearth of strong options at the catcher position, Gattis’ upside makes him a very enticing play.

First Base: $3,800 Joey Gallo- There is a perpetual risk that comes with starting Gallo, but he is worth a look anytime he is facing a righty. He has as much upside as any other player because of his immense power, meaning a big game could be in the works for Gallo. However, there is an equally high chance that Gallo ends up putting a goose egg in the points column.

Second Base: $3,200 Scooter Gennett- Gennett erupted for a monster four home run game earlier this year, showing his abundance of upside. While you shouldn’t expect the same performance today, he should still be able to turn in a strong game. He obliterates righties and will face one in Jack Flaherty.

Third Base: $3,600 Anthony Rendon- As I said earlier, the Nationals will stand to benefit in their matchup with Luiz Gohara. Rendon fares much better against lefties, which means a big game could be in the works. With the way the Nationals offense has been clicking recently, you will want to have as much exposure to them as possible.

Shortstop: $4,400 Trea Turner- Turner has shown no signs of regressing after coming off of an extended stint on the DL. He has fared well against right handed pitchers, making it a good thing that he will face one in Luiz Gohara. Gohara is very inexperienced, making both Turner and his teammates solid picks.

Outfield: $2,900 Scott Schebler- Schebler is always a risky play, but he could be a strong contrarian play. Not many people will feature him in their lineup due to the risk that he possesses. Most of his value rests in his ability to hit home runs so if he is able to hit one out today, he will end up being an excellent value pick.

Outfield: $2,900 Max Kepler- Arguably the best German player in the MLB, Kepler has proved that he has the talent to be successful in the MLB. He draws an excellent matchup with Dinelson Lamet, meaning he could be in for a big game. He has a relatively high floor, but he has a very high ceiling because of his home run potential.

Outfield: $3,600 Kyle Schwarber- The Cubs draw an excellent matchup with the struggling Matt Harvey. Schwarber destroys righties, meaning a big game could be in the works for him. He is always a risky play due to his inability to accrue base hits, but his immense power at this price is difficult to pass up on.
