Point Guard: $6,800 Lonzo Ball- The highly-touted rookie will be making his first career NBA appearance in what will be a highly anticipated event. Ball’s outspoken father has caused plenty of antics early on, but hopefully that wont affect Lonzo tonight. His matchup with the Chris Paul-less Los Angeles Clippers is one that he should be able to exploit.

Point Guard: $11,800 Russell Westbrook- The offseason acquisitions of Carmelo Anthony and Paul George may scare some people away, but this is still Russell Westbrook’s team. On small slates like this one, stomaching Westbrook’s enormous price is a lot easier due to the lack of other strong options. A triple double should be in the works for Westbrook as long as the game stays fairly close.

Shooting Guard: $4,300 Austin Rivers- Doc Rivers’ son should have plenty of usage this year with Chris Paul gone. Last year he rewarded those who took a chance on him whenever he ended up in the starting role. With an expanded role this year, the sky is the limit to where the former Duke guard can go. This may be the cheapest he is all year.

Shooting Guard: $4,700 Jordan Clarkson- Clarkson will stand to benefit from the departures of Nick Young, Lou Williams, and most importantly, DeAngelo Russell. Clarkson was a risky fantasy play last year due to the logjam in the Lakers’ backcourt, but that logjam has since been cleared up. He is one of the best value plays of the night due to his immense potential at a relatively inexpensive price.

Small Forward: $4,800 Paul Zipser- Zipser was able to perform well whenever Jimmy Butler was sitting out last year, and with Butler now in Minnesota, Zipser will have the opportunity to thrive. He will be a strong value play as long as Zach LaVine is injured.

Small Forward: $4,600 Doug McDermott- McDermott was never really able to get anything going in Oklahoma City, but now that he is in New York he will have a much larger role in the offense. Most of his value rests in his three point shooting, so if he is able to get hot you will not regret starting him.

Power Forward: $8,200 Kristaps Porzingis- Porzingis is now the main option in the Knicks’ offense after the departure of Carmelo Anthony, and it immensely helps his fantasy value. He has plenty of double-double potential and can fill up the box score as well. Porzingod has a sky-high ceiling, but his floor is not as lofty.

Power Forward: $6,300 Serge Ibaka- The new FanDuel scoring system greatly increases the value of Ibaka. Ibaka, who is known for his ability to rack up defensive statistics, now is a viable fantasy option. He has carved out a nice role for himself in Toronto, and with a dearth of other options at the power forward position, Ibaka is only more enticing.

Center: $8,200 DeAndre Jordan- Jordan is another player who should benefit from the updated points system. Now that Chris Paul is out of the offense a major void is in need of filling, and Jordan should be able to fill a good bit of it. He has a pretty high floor as well as a lofty ceiling.
